Parish Story
Precious Blood Parish was dedicated
under the auspices of Bishop Francis R. Cotton on September 5,
1960. Throughout its history, the parish has been known for its
strong commitments to Christian formation and liturgical renewal,
and a simple acceptance of each person who comes to our doors.
Precious Blood Parish is a community of 450 households, a majority
of which are young families. A variety of service, social and
music organizations provide many opportunities for active parish
involvement. Our parish is a warm and welcoming place, where newcomers
are easily included. The Sunday Eucharist is the highlight of
our week, and an atmosphere of prayerful attentiveness is our
goal. Our worship together is the heart of our community experience,
and we give much careful attention to how we carry it out. After
liturgy, our warm community spirit is evident in those who linger
for conversation and friendship.
MISSION STATEMENT
