A message to all birth mothers from an adoptive family

By Anonymous

Our daughter arrived three years ago on an ordinary day of an ordinary week. But she was not an ordinary baby-- you see, she was our special gift from God. She came to us through an angel --her birth mother. Our daughter is adopted.

Adoption is a beautiful example of unconditional love

Her birth mother had several options but she chose adoption. She gave her daughter the greatest gift - -LIFE. She wanted her daughter to have the most life could offer. She gave of herself so unselfishly. She decided to place her baby in an adoptive home. She gave her daughter a mother and a father and she gave us a family.

Every night during prayer time, we thank God for our daughter’s birth parents. We pray that God watches over them --for all adopted children and all adoptive families. We are very open about her adoption. We want her to realize how special she is and how she has blessed our lives.

With the growing number of couples seeking to adopt, there is no such thing as "an unwanted" pregnancy. It is not a choice; it is a child --a gift from God.

A birth mother doesn’t place her baby in an adoptive home because she doesn’t love her baby. No, she does so because she loves her child beyond all comprehension. Gone is the day of the shame or "stigma" of adoption. Adoption is a beautiful example of unconditional love.

Although time or distance may separate birthparents and adoptive parents, they will always share one common bond --an unconditional love for THEIR child.

A message to all birthmothers from an adoptive family -- Thank You for your unconditional love, for choosing life and for allowing one childless couple to become a family. You all hold a very special place in our hearts.

Our thoughts and prayers are with all pregnant women considering their options, may you see adoption as a beautiful option! WE DO!!!
