Office of Lay Ministry and Formation

The Office of Lay Ministry and Formation serves the Diocese of Owensboro by supporting Lay Ministry in all aspects, whether volunteer or professional.  The Office provides professional and spiritual development as well as Safe Environment training for Lay Ministers, Parish Councils, and Parish Staff and volunteers.

A GIFT    Adult Growing in Faith Together  
A GIFT is a study of the United States Catholic Catechism for Adults broken into 6 sessions, 2 per year, offered at one or more parishes in each deanery.  Each session will consist of four presentations covering each of the pillars of the Catechism.  Potentially, there will be a variety of presenters at each session: priests, lay ecclesial ministers, religious, deacons, Brescia Theology faculty, Brescia Ministry students, and Religion teachers.  The cost is $10 per session which includes refreshments, lunch and handouts.  You may register for one of the sessions by calling, e-mailing or sending the registration form to Rita Hayden.  rita.hayden@pastoral.org
